Travelling the Road to Santiago de Compostela, where the remains of St James are said to be buried, is one of the oldest and most interesting journeys in Europe. In this course we explore the city itself through the eyes of pilgrims to discover the medieval traditions of pilgrimage, and why we still find them meaningful in our modern world.

In this course we look at the importance of Santiago de Compostela to medieval and contemporary pilgrims. We Explore the city and the Cathedral as well as learning about what pilgrims do when they arrive in the city.
