Setting off from Paine Grande Hostel on the Torres Del Paine Walk

Course - Walking The Wilderness

The wilderness seems to touch a part in each one of us and one of the best ways to experience it is to walk in it. Walking gives us the opportunity to slow down, to appreciate the world through which we normally race. The physiological benefits of longer distance walking are many, including an increased sense of well-being.

Walking the Wilderness - one day 9.30am - 4.30pm

In this course we look at the preparations for setting off on four hiking trails: The Milford Track in New Zealand, tackling the Torres Del Paine 'W' circuit in Chilean Patagonia, walking in the Warrumbungles in NSW and an overnight walk in the Kosciuszko National Park. If you have ever wanted to go on a wilderness walking journey, but have been reluctant or unsure about how to start, this course will help you to prepare for it.
